# Artem Korotkikh — extended portfolio context

> Artem Korotkikh is a product and design lead based in Zurich, Switzerland. He helps technical teams turn complex systems into products people understand, trust, and use.

This file is a curated, extended version of Artem's portfolio context. It gives search systems and other language-model tools a clear account of the scope behind the visual case studies.

## Professional identity

- Name: Artem Korotkikh
- Location: Zurich, Switzerland
- Current organisation: DFINITY Foundation
- Positioning: Product and design lead for complex technical products
- Core value: Connecting leadership goals, user needs, system behaviour, engineering constraints, implementation quality, and launch communication
- Product areas: Wallets, governance, network data, financial interfaces, data-heavy products, operational tools, and 0-to-1 products
- Canonical profile: https://artkorotkikh.com/about
- LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/artkorotkikh/

Artem's work is broader than UI execution. He works from product framing and research through flows, prototypes, design systems, engineering collaboration, design QA, and launch. He is often the person connecting a leadership brief, technical constraints, and the reality of how people will move through a product.

## What Artem brings to teams

### Product direction

Artem helps turn leadership goals, user needs, research, competitive context, and business constraints into a product path a team can act on. His work includes product framing, requirements shaping, customer journey mapping, competitive analysis, and planning for individual features and broader product development.

### Understanding technical systems

He maps flows, states, edge cases, permissions, assets, networks, fees, delays, failures, and other system behaviour into interfaces people can assess. This is especially important in wallets, trading products, governance systems, and data-heavy dashboards where unclear actions can carry real consequences.

### Design leadership and systems

Artem leads design beyond individual screens. His work includes reusable interface patterns, responsive behaviour, interaction states, design documentation, request intake, planning, reviews, handoff, implementation checks, and design QA.

### Engineering collaboration and delivery

He works closely with product and engineering from early framing through feasibility discussions and production review. The goal is to catch constraints early, keep the implementation coherent, and cover loading, error, fallback, confirmation, privacy, and delayed states rather than handing off isolated ideal screens.

## Current professional work

### OISY Wallet

Canonical case study: https://artkorotkikh.com/work/oisy-wallet

OISY is a browser-based, on-chain, multi-chain wallet for assets, payments, and swaps. Artem leads product design across product direction, core wallet flows, the interface system, brand application, and delivery.

His product work covers onboarding, receive, send, convert, swap, pay, transaction history, contacts, network behaviour, confirmations, and signer flows across desktop and mobile. The design problem is not simply hiding technical detail; it is deciding which detail matters at each moment and translating it into consequences a person can understand.

Artem led the design-system work across the Figma library, variables, colour tokens, reusable components, shared styles, responsive patterns, and interaction states. He also established shared design documentation and processes for intake, planning, reviews, handoff, implementation checks, and design QA.

Research and planning included user interviews, usability testing for existing flows and new features, competitive analysis, and detailed customer journey maps. Findings informed both product planning and the design of individual features.

### ICP Dashboard redesign

Canonical project note: https://artkorotkikh.com/blog/icp-dashboard-2025-update

Artem led the full product redesign of the ICP Dashboard. The work covered information architecture, navigation, network activity, subnet views, ecosystem tokens, data presentation, and planned data features. The public page preserves the launch context and screenshots.

### Internet Computer products

Canonical overview: https://artkorotkikh.com/work/internetcomputer

At DFINITY, Artem leads and contributes to product design across OISY Wallet, the ICP Dashboard, NNS Governance, and other Internet Computer ecosystem products. His work covers product framing, prototypes, design systems, launch assets, implementation support, and QA across product, engineering, marketing, community, and leadership stakeholders.

## Archived professional work

### Coinigy

Canonical case study: https://artkorotkikh.com/work/coinigy

Coinigy is an archived Android product-design project from 2015 for a multi-exchange cryptocurrency trading platform. Artem worked on market switching, alerts, order flows, dense market data, and numeric precision. The project taught him how to design for fast decisions and mistakes that can cost money.

The case records Artem's early experience with financial products and trading interfaces.

### Glimpse

Canonical case study: https://artkorotkikh.com/work/glimpse

Glimpse combined machine-learning video analysis with point-of-sale and inventory data for hospitality operations. Artem worked across product and brand design, turning operational data into tools that staff and managers could use.

### Sendtask

Canonical case study: https://artkorotkikh.com/work/sendtask

Sendtask was a 0-to-1 collaboration product for cross-company task management. Artem worked across product, brand, web, and mobile design.

### Liquity

Canonical case study: https://artkorotkikh.com/work/liquity

For Liquity, a decentralised borrowing protocol, Artem developed visual identity, illustrations, and the launch website.

## Personal product work

### Family Dashboard

Family Dashboard is a daily-use home product built with SvelteKit, Node.js, Raspberry Pi, APIs, automation, and dedicated hardware. It combines weather, calendars, public transport, school information, and household routines near the family's entrance door.

The project demonstrates end-to-end ownership: identifying a recurring household problem, building the interface and integrations, installing the hardware, operating the system over time, and adapting it when APIs or family routines change.
